Index also has a system menu button directly on the hmd, I don't recall any Oculus/Meta hmds with such a button.

In short I found it relatively easy to use just one Index controller, because both controllers have the system menu button - while Touch was more cumbersome, because you really need both controllers. But using the Index controller all functions are mirrored from one controller to the other - that's why there're just A and B buttons, while using Touch you have A, B, X and Y. That was using the Valve Index though, which requires a PC. I had a different situation - having to send in a controller for RMA and was then stuck with only one controller. And an official response from the Oculus team would also be greatly appreciated. I welcome advice from everyone regarding workarounds - no matter how harebrained. Is there an engineer or product manager at Meta who worries about Oculus accessibility for disabled users? Please help. The device holds promise to dramatically improve my quality of life. (And switching back-and-forth also disrupts flow with unacceptable delays.) I have no mobility (paralyzed right leg and right hand) and I had hoped that the Oculus Quest would be my salvation in affording me virtual mobility.

I tried picking up and using the right controller with my left hand, and using it interchangeably with the left controller as necessary, but I could not work the buttons. Is there a setting that will configure the left controller for all navigation, actions and selections? I want to put the right controller away in a drawer since my right hand is completely paralyzed. Today, I took delivery of a new Oculus Quest 2 and I am having a devil of a time using it with just my left controller. I recently suffered a stroke and lost the use of my right hand.
